Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the effects of Forward Head Posture (FHP) on spatiotemporal parameters of the center of pressure (COP) using an insole-based measurement system.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to analyze differences in trunk muscle activation and postural stability between individuals with FHP and healthy controls under static and dynamic balance tasks.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to explain the clinical implications of increased compensatory muscle activity in FHP and discuss potential posture-focused interventions for improving balance control.
