We will describe a model for interdisciplinary early-intervention screening and assessment for people with Parkinson’s Disease and the benefits associated with an early-intervention program. Allied health roles and educational resources will be presented along with an introduction to using remote therapeutic monitoring as a tool to promote physical activity participation in people with Parkinson’s Disease.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participant will be able to identify the benefit of early screening and interdisciplinary assessment for people with Parkinson’s Disease
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand the components of an interdisciplinary Parkinson’s Disease clinic
Upon completion, participant will be able to determine appropriate early intervention education topics and appropriate follow up care recommendations as part of the allied health team
Upon completion, participant will be able to identify the benefits of using remote therapeutic monitoring, in partnership with an early intervention model, for improved physical activity participation in people with Parkinson’s Disease
