This presentation explores the interplay between APOE4 genotype and traumatic brain injury in influencing cerebrospinal fluid biomarker levels (Aβ42 and p-tau) associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Using data from the ADNI-DOD cohort, we examine how the co-occurrence of these risk factors affects amyloid-beta and tau pathology, highlighting the heightened vulnerability in ageing Veterans with both APOE4 positivity and TBI history. Findings of this study underscore the importance of targeted monitoring and the need for early intervention in this high-risk population.
