Dr Michele Murdoch is a Consultant Dermatologist and previous Clinical Lead at West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a past Chair of the Neglected Tropical Diseases NGO Network Skin Cross Cutting Group, she has a passion for raising awareness of skin NTDs and she is also Editor-in-Chief of the Community Skin Health Journal, which is a free teaching resource for primary healthcare workers in many resource-limited settings worldwide funded by the International Foundation for Dermatology. She is current Chair of the World Health Organization Skin NTD Working Group on ‘Skin Health, Wound Care and Rehabilitation’ and member of a multidisciplinary advocacy group working towards a World Health Assembly resolution on skin diseases as a global public health priority.
