Retired from being a registered and licensed Occupational therapist in the USA and Brazil with a. Masters in Public Health.
Staff occupational therapist at Scott-White Clinic and Hospital in Temple, Texas from 1976-1984. Worked with American Leprosy Missions, based in Brasil, from 1984 to 2019 as Senior Advisor and Technical support for disability prevention and rehabilitation with Hansen’s disease, Buruli ulcer and other Neglected Tropical Diseases. Provided direct treatment, capacity building, technical material development, monitoring and evaluation for ALM, PAHO/WHO, NGOs, MOH and Ministries of Health and Community Health Services. Services provided in the Americas, Africa and Asia.
Further technical consultancy continues at retirement to WHO Skin NTDs, ILEP, TLMI, IDEA and others as requested.
