Terry Treadwell, MD, FACS, FAAWC, practiced vascular and general surgery in Montgomery, Alabama and, since 1998, Dr. Treadwell has practiced full-time wound care. He has been involved with numerous wound care educational and research initiatives in the United States, Africa, and Haiti. He was the Clinical Editor of Wounds for 17 years and now serves as Editor Emeritus. He is a member of the Wound Healing Society and the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care where was on the AAWC Board of Directors, the President-elect, President, and Past-President. He is serving with the World Alliance for Wound and Lymphedema Care through the World Health Organization and serves on the World Health Organization Neglected Tropical Disease Committee.
