Occupational Therapist
Advocate Children's Hospital
Oak Lawn, IL, United States
I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for 8 years at Advocate Children’s Hospital, servicing acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. I am certified in Neonatal Infant Touch Massage (NTM) which has aided in my therapeutic treatments and progress of infant development during prolonged admissions in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in our school-age cardiac neurodevelopmental clinic, promoting patient’s independence and quality of life. I’ve conducted research through this clinic to support occupational therapy’s role in identifying sensory processing and regulation difficulties in patients with congenital heart defect. Currently, I am one of the lead therapists advocating for rehab services and implementing quality improvement initiatives for our pediatric heart transplant program.
