Melissa Cosgrove, MA, CCC-SLP graduated with her master's degree in Communication Disorders from Northern Illinois University in 2000. She has worked in a variety of medical settings, including subacute rehabilitation, long term acute care, inpatient acute care, inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting, outpatient, and day rehab outpatient programs. Melissa Cosgrove is also a certified Early Intervention Specialist. Ms. Cosgrove has a variety of certifications including Vital Stim, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment, and Speak Out! certifications. She has experience in a variety of specialty diagnosis such as burn rehabilitation and functional neurological disorders. Ms. Cosgrove has worked for Shirley Ryan Ability Lab for 20 years and has a special interest in an interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation. This includes involvement in the development of the interdisciplinary pain management education program within the Day Rehab outpatient setting where she currently works as a senior speech language pathologist.
