Abby McInturf, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), where she earned a B.S. in Industrial Design in 2018. With over 3.5 years of experience in industrial design, Abby McInturf has worked with leading brands in both medical and consumer sectors, contributing to market research, concept development, prototyping, usability testing, trial preparation, marketing, and user experience design. Her expertise in the medical device space has been focused on creating ergonomic, user-friendly surgical tools that enhance the experience for both clinicians and their patients.
As the Co-Founder of Band Connect, Abby plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s hybrid rehabilitation platform, which combines innovative hardware and software solutions to improve patient outcomes in physical therapy. She has led the platform through multiple stages, from initial product development to clinical trials, pilot programs, and ongoing product iterations. Under her leadership, Band Connect has completed several successful feasibility studies and usability trials, gathering valuable data that informs continuous product refinement.
