Emily Harstad, OTR/L, BCPR, CBIS, MOT is currently working as a Senior II Occupational Therapist with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. She has worked with patients who have acquired brain injuries for the past 16 years. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Occupational Therapy in 2008. She has worked in a variety of settings, and is currently working at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab on the inpatient traumatic brain injury unit. Her recent projects include developing training materials for other allied health staff to improve clinical competency treating patients in disordered consciousness and serving on multiple workgroups ensuring adherence to evidence-based practice with this population. Emily obtained her Board Certification of Physical Rehabilitation from the American Occupational Therapy Association in 2023 and has been a Certified Brain Injury Specialist since 2010.
