Deb Jacoby has worked in the geriatric field providing Recreation Therapy on Memory Care Units or to People suffering from Alzheimer's Disease & other Dementias for the past 40 years. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Deb is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP), has the Dementia Specialist Designation in Wisconsina, and held the Board Certified-Activity Professional (BC-AP-until retired in 2025). Deb began her career in Sheboygan WI at RCS, Inc. She later worked as a recreation specialist at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center retiring after 36+ years of service. Deb’s current role is Director of Implementation and Training, working with Dr. Jeff Leismer, CEO and Founder of VibeTech. She has been working with VibeTech for the past 10 years. VibeTech is the first and only pressure-activated strength training vibration therapy device for the lower body. Deb has always looked for new & innovative ways to enhance and improve the quality of life for those living with dementia as well as their families. She was instrumental in gaining a grant (one of 15 in the nation) in 2012 being the first facility to bring the Music & Memory program to Wisconsin. Deb was awarded Wisconsin Activity Assistant Profession of the Year in 2012 and National Activity Assistant Professional of the Year in 2014. Deb has given presentations at various Conferences & Seminars including: The ACRM, Alzheimer’s Speaks, The Lakeshore Area Activity Professionals Group, The Wisconsin Activity Professionals organization, The WI Occupational Therapy Association and for the WI Alzheimer’s Focus Conference.
