She completed her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science with a specialization in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Her research interests include identifying the physiologic mechanisms of neurological recovery of the cerebellar-cortical pathway in children and adults after acquired brain injury or stroke using neuromodulation and electroencephalography. She also investigates the impact of combining behavioral interventions with neuromodulation for optimal functional recovery after brain injury. She has received external funding from the National Center of Neuromodulation for Rehabilitation, an NIH subaward and has recently been published in Child’s Nervous System, Brain Stimulation and Journal of Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair.
