Taylor Eldridge, M.S. is a first-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Sam Houston State University working under the direction of Dr. Chelsea Ratcliff in the Integrative Health Lab. She received her B.A. in English from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Abilene Christian University. For her master’s thesis, (chair: Dr. David McAnulty) Taylor explored the relationships between illness perceptions, health behaviors, and resilience among congenital heart disease patients. Previously, Taylor interned as the grief and family support services coordinator with Jessica’s House, a non-profit for bereaved children, teens, and families, to promote positive coping strategies, psychosocial adjustment, and resilience in bereaved individuals. Broadly, her research interests include health psychology, the development and integration of evidence-based mental health care within the medical setting, resilience, and health-related quality of life with a specialized interest in pediatrics.
