Dr. Gomez is a Diagnostic Radiology resident at the University of California, San Diego. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed an internal medicine preliminary internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA.

Dr. Gomez has extensive research experience involving metabolic disease, musculoskeletal imaging, and healthcare disparities. He has authored nine peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals and has presented his work at national conferences.

In addition to his clinical and research pursuits, Dr. Gomez is committed to the mentorship of underrepresented students in medicine. His academic focus involves early exposure to Radiology at all education levels, with a focus on recruiting diverse talent to the field of musculoskeletal radiology.
