Jodi Herbsman, PT, DPT, MHA is the Program Manager of Acute Care Rehabilitation Services at Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Herbsman earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College and went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Scranton. She is recently completed her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from NYU Wager. Jodi has worked at Rusk Rehabilitation at New York University Langone Health since June, 2000 in a variety of roles. In her current role as an administrator her areas of focus are: program and staff development, quality improvement, EMR optimization, promotion and implementation of early mobility, and innovative patient education.
In June 2016, Dr. Herbsman completed an Intermediate Improvement Science Series (I2S2) through Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Herbsman won a Patient Safety Award for her early mobility work in the Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units. She has lectured nationally on adult and pediatric early mobility and quality improvement and has published on this topic. Most recently, Jodi has published 3 papers on the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in the acute care setting and a paper on delirium management in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
