Simon Driver, PhD, is Chief Scientific Officer for Baylor Scott and White Research Institute, Research Center Director for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Ginger Murchison Endowed Chair in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Research. Dr. Driver is Project Director of the North Texas TBI Model System, and his research is focused on health promotion efforts for people with TBI, stroke, and SCI, with an emphasis on cardiometabolic health through physical activity and nutrition. He has a growing interest in comparative effectiveness research and implementation science to ensure evidence-based interventions are accessible to people with a disability. Dr. Driver’s research is supported by agencies such as the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute, National Institute of Health, and Department of Defense. He is passionate about supporting his team as they grow their careers and building collaborative relationships to support strong team science.
