Maya Yuen currently manages the Robert R. McCormick Foundation Center for Hope and Equity at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, which is dedicated to expanding access to healthcare and vocational opportunities for patients on Chicago’s South and West Sides, while also advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization. Prior to this role, Maya served as the Clinical Manager for the Pain Management Center at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. She began her career at the organization in 2004, when it was known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, and has since held various clinical and leadership positions. Maya is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She also serves as adjunct faculty in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Her professional interests include academic education, staff engagement, and leadership development through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
