Ms. Abrity Gomes is a Master’s student at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, under the supervision of Dr. Julio Furlan. Her thesis research focuses on investigating sleep apnea in para-athletes with spinal cord injury.
She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto with high distinction, majoring in Biochemistry and Neuroscience. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked for a year as a research assistant at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, where she contributed to clinical and translational research in the fields of rehabilitation and sleep disorders.
