Morgan Leach is from Ankeny, Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa and graduated with her B.A. in Health Studies in 2023. While at the University of Iowa she was on the executive board for two student organizations: Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity, and Kairos, a student ministry group. She worked two jobs as a lead teacher in an infant room at a local childcare center and as a direct support professional at Balance Autism. She also was a research assistant for the UI REACH program.
Morgan started working towards her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Des Moines University in the fall of 2023. At her time at Des Moines University she has held leadership positions of Student Occupational Therapy Association secretary, Inclusivity Representative, and the Iowa Occupational Therapy Association student liaison. She was also selected as a trainee in the Iowa Leadership in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities program at the University of Iowa. She is a student tutor and a student research assistant. She is set to complete her fieldwork at MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital in Kansas City, KS and Center for Disabilities and Development in Iowa City, IA. After an interview process, she was selected to complete her capstone project in the NICU at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. Morgan is set to graduate in May of 2026 with her Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
