Samantha Kanny, PhD is a Post Doctoral Fellow at in the Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Boston University. She is also apart of the Neurorehabilitation Lab at Spaulding Rehabilitation. She earned her PhD in Applied Health Research and Evaluation from Clemson University, where her research focused on sex-based differences in sports-related concussion outcomes. Dr. Kanny has extensive experience in clinical and community-based research, particularly in neurorehabilitation, diabetes self-management, and the application of artificial intelligence in health research. She currently contributes to the development and evaluation of the TBI Participatory Computer Adaptive Test (TBI-PCAT) and serves as a research associate on multiple NIH, ADA, and CDC funded studies. Her work bridges clinical research, health informatics, and public health with a focus on understanding the impacts of sports-related concussions in pediatric and adolescent populations, evaluating the sex-based differences in sports-related concussion outcomes and improving outcomes for individuals with chronic health conditions.
