Emily Parks-Vernizzi, MBA, serves as Director at FACITtrans where she leads the development of high-quality multi-lingual translations and cross-cultural clinical outcome assessment (COA) measures that serve patient-centered care in the life sciences industry and in health-related quality of life (HRQOL) research. She has a particular focus on clinical outcome assessment (COA & eCOA) and patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures, translatability assessment, concept definition best practices and development, multi-lingual translation and harmonization, patient recruitment, cognitive interviews, linguistic validation program implementation and management, eCOA migration, cross-cultural qualitative data analysis, and clinical trial embedded interviews and interviewer training.
Former co-chair and current Steering Committee member of the International Society of Quality of Life (ISOQOL) Translation and Cultural Adaptation Special Interest Group (TCA-SIG), current member of the PROMIS Health Organization (PHO) and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), Ms. Parks-Vernizzi regularly co-authors articles, presents research and facilitates roundtable discussions vis-à-vis translation and cultural adaptation issues for industry conferences in Europe and North America.
