Che-Wei is a volunteer research assistant at the Shirley Ryan Affective and Emotion Rehabilitation (SAfER) lab in Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, where she is currently involved in research related to emotion rehabilitation for people who have had a stroke. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Austin. She plans to apply to medical school in the near future, and hopes to continue contributing to research alongside her clinical career.
