Dr. Amy Starosta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington and Medical Director of Psychology at Harborview Medical Center. As clinical and research psychologist, her work focuses on the intersection of psychological and medical recovery following acute and chronic health conditions. Her research program examines psychosocial influences on recovery trajectories, provider-level factors impacting patient outcomes, and the integration of clinical informatics to enhance care delivery. Current projects include leveraging medical record data to investigate opioid use and testing behavioral interventions to reduce pain and distress during rehabilitation.
