Marcel Post (1958) studied psychology. His Doctoral Dissertation concerned health status and life satisfaction of people with spinal cord injury (SCI) living in the community. His research interests concern psychological factors, social participation and quality of life of people with SCI or stroke, and measurement of these concepts.
Marcel Post (co-)authored 440+ peer-reviewed publications. Until 2024 he was leader of the SCI research at De Hoogstraat Rehabilitation and special professor in SCI rehabilitation at the University Medical Center Groningen, the Netherlands. He co-leads a multicentre project on the measurement of medical rehabilitation outcomes in the Netherlands. He serves on the International SCI Data Sets project and is co-chair of the ISCoS Quality of Life Special Interest Group.
