Dr. Kalpakjian is a biopsychosocial scientist and clinical and rehabilitation psychologist with over 34 years of clinical and research experience with diverse populations of persons with disabilities resulting from injury, illness, or congenital causes. She is an expert in using mixed methods approaches to develop patient-reported outcome measures, particularly for patients with functional limitations. Dr. Kalpakjian has extensive expertise engaging clinical teams in forming into learning communities, evaluating their current practices, engaging in consensus building around changing and standardizing those practices, and using cycles of learning to inform and improve care.
