Dr. Emily Rosario, PhD is a Neuroscientist and the Executive Director of the Research Institute at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare. With over 20 years of research experience, she specializes in rehabilitation medicine, age-related diseases, neurologic disorders, and endocrine dysfunction. Dr. Rosario has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the Journal of Neuroscience, Neurology, and Frontiers in Neuroendocrinology.
Her research has been funded by prestigious organizations including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association, the UniHealth Foundation, and the Norris Foundation. Dr. Rosario has presented her work at over 50 national and international conferences, including the Society for Neuroscience (SfN), the International Brain Injury Association (IBIA), the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM), the International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease (AD/PD), and the American Heart Association (AHA).
At Casa Colina Hospital, she collaborates with a multidisciplinary team on diverse research studies, ranging from outcome-based research to randomized controlled trials. Dr. Rosario also partners with academic institutions like USC, where she holds an Adjunct Clinical Professor position in Neurological Surgery, UCLA, Caltech, among others, mentoring over 25 research students and serving as a guest lecturer on topics such as Neuroscience, Neurodegenerative Diseases, and Neuroendocrinology.
