Charles Liu

Professor of Neurological Surgery

Dr. Liu is a neurosurgeon-engineer who works at the interface of the two disciplines to develop transformative strategies to restore function to the human nervous system. He is currently Professor of Neurological Surgery, Neurology, Psychiatry with joint appointments in Biokinesiology, Surgery, Urology, and Biomedical Engineering at USC. He has also had a long standing appointment at Caltech. He serves as the Director of the USC Neurorestoration Center and Chief of Innovation and Research at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.
