Dr. Lilcelia Williams is currently appointed to serve as a Research Instructor Faculty member in the School of Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Williams is an emerging community-based researcher who is actively building an independent research program focused on examining the lived experiences of aging and older community-dwelling adults with an increased risk of developing a neurodegenerative disease (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia) at the intersection of their social determinants of health, health beliefs and behaviors and chronic conditions (e.g., cardiovascular disease).
