Research Assistant at Neural Engineering and Rehabilitation Laboratory
Department of Bioengineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
As a PhD student in Bioengineering at UIUC, I’m focused on advancing neurorehabilitation for post-stroke patients, specifically addressing spasticity and flexion synergy. At the Illinois-Carle Joint Neural Engineering and Rehabilitation Laboratory under Dr. Yuan Yang, I’m involved in NIH, AHA, and NSF-funded projects that explore maladaptive somatosensory changes, high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation, and personalized brain stimulation protocols. My research combines neuroimaging, biomedical signal processing, brain stimulation, and motor rehabilitation to develop data-driven, patient-specific interventions that enhance motor recovery and improve quality of life for stroke survivors.
