Bethany Flynn (Marshall) graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2021. She became a full-time acute care OT at Carle Foundation Hospital in January 2022, and in August 2024 she merged her clinical practice with research, now working half-time in each capacity. Bethany’s interests are in promoting engagement in meaningful occupations using cutting-edge holistic and biomechanical methods across patient populations. At this time, Bethany is primarily assessing upper extremity function in research participants in the stroke survivor community and working towards specialty certifications in post-stroke, brain injury, and insomnia care.
