Dr. Koob serves as a Research Associate in the Department of Healthcare Leadership and Management at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a health services researcher and occupational therapist whose work focuses on healthcare access, quality, and lived experiences of individuals with disabilities and their families across the lifespan. Motivated by clinical experiences, her work seeks to address structural and systemic barriers that influence long-term health and well-being. Relative to this proposal, she is particularly interested in leveraging "big data"—such as wheelchair and durable medical equipment registries—to improve equitable service delivery and inform policy.
