Librada Callender is a Clinical Epidemiologist and Research Investigator at Baylor Scott & White Research Institute >15 years of experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Research in various roles. She completed her Doctorate in Epidemiology and Master’s in Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Her research has focused on neuro-rehabilitative populations (e.g., traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke) across the continuum of care, with topics including health disparities, healthcare utilization, and health promotion. She is a Co-Investigator with the North Texas Traumatic Brain Injury Model System and Baylor Scott & White Spinal Cord Injury Model System and principal investigator for a NIDILRR grant modifying a healthy lifestyle program for people post stroke to be culturally and linguistically accessible for Latino persons. Her research passion is to remove access obstacles for people with disabilities, especially among those with intersectional disparities.
