Dr. Tushar J. Palekar is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of physiotherapy, currently serving as Professor and Principal at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy, Pune. With over 23 years of professional experience, including 17 years in leadership roles, he is recognized for his excellence in academic governance and research. He holds a BPT from Mangalore University (1995), MPT from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (2002), and Ph.D. from Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (2015).
Dr. Palekar has authored over 220 research publications, 2 books, and holds 3 patents and 3 copyrights. His research spans areas such as rehabilitation, manual therapy, cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, and interprofessional education.
