Dr Pacagnelli holds a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Western São Paulo (UNOESTE, 2002), with a specialization in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy (UNOESTE), and a Master’s and Ph.D. in Cell and Structural Biology, with a focus on Muscle Plasticity, from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Currently, she is a faculty member and coordinator of research and outreach activities in the Physiotherapy program at the University of Western São Paulo. She also works with the School of Medicine (research advising) and in graduate programs (Master’s and Ph.D. in Pathophysiology and Animal Health, and Master’s in Health Sciences). She is a member of the Health Technology Assessment Unit (NATS) of the School of Medicine at UNOESTE, which is part of the Brazilian Network for Health Technology Assessment (REBRATS), linked to the Ministry of Health. She has experience in the areas of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, Histology, Cell Biology, and Muscle Plasticity, with current research focused on cardiovascular physiotherapy and physical exercise for patients with hypertension, diabetes, and congestive heart failure.
