Through his graduate studies and clinical work at Boston Medical Center, he gained experience in clinical research and patient communication. His thesis, “How does caregivers’ understanding of safety regarding the patient’s ability to go home compare to those of patients and physicians,” focused on perceptions of patient discharge readiness.
In addition to his work on patient discharge, Vatsal served as a Research Assistant at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the University of Pennsylvania, contributing to projects on the role of snoRNAs in treating heart disease and on improving brachytherapy techniques for cervical cancer.
His goal is to continue contributing to clinical research while also applying for medical school.
