Lingjun Chen, PT, M.S., is a PhD candidate in the Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science, and Athletic Training. Prior to her doctorate training in the Mobility and Falls Lab since 2021 summer, she earned bachelor degree in Rehabilitation Therapeutics from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (China) and master degrees in Physiotherapy from Cardiff University (UK) and Kinesiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Lingjun’s passion lies in the prevention of fall-related injuries among older populations, with a unique focus on motor control and protective movement strategies. Drawing on her background in clinical practice and aging research, she is passionate about advancing multidisciplinary approaches that can inform and enhance physical therapy practice. Her current work investigates the role of head and neck control, as well as upper limb responses, in mitigating fall-related head injuries in older populations.
