Huang's research interest focuses on clinical biomechanics and human movement science which includes the following specific areas of focus:
1) How virtual reality technology impacts human movement in healthy and neurodegenerative populations.
2) Fall prevention in occupational health and safety.
3) Applied biomechanics/ergonomics in minimally invasive surgery for tool development and skill acquisition.
