Maggie Nemish is an aspiring occupational therapist from Dothan, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University in May 2024, where she excelled academically and maintained a 4.0 GPA during her early college years. Her strong academic foundation and active involvement in student organizations like Active Minds and Chi Omega reflect both her intellectual capability and commitment to community service. Currently, she is pursuing a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with an expected graduation date of December 2026.
Maggie has built a solid foundation of hands-on experience in both clinical and community-based settings. As a rehabilitation technician at Circle East Rehab, she supports patient recovery by assisting with therapeutic exercises and maintaining safe treatment environments. Her prior role as Head Intern at Storybook Farm involved supervision of pediatric and equine therapy sessions, emphasizing her versatility and interest in holistic, client-centered care. Additionally, her work as a student observer at Southeast Alabama Medical Center’s NICU and rehab units gave her early exposure to diverse therapy settings. Maggie’s passion for occupational therapy is evident through her leadership as Social Media Chair for the Student Occupational Therapy Association and her internship at the Braveheart Center for Place and Purpose.
