Emily Hamuka earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UNCG, and her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from UNCG. Dr. Hamuka has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in the public schools, pediatric outpatient setting, and in a University clinic. She has 15 years of supervision experience and 12 years of experience in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. Dr. Hamuka specializes in the areas of reading, writing, language, and early language/literacy skills for children with complex communication needs. Her research interests include language and literacy for school-age individuals and narrative language intervention.
