Dr. Xinsheng "Cindy" Cai is a principal researcher at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) and a leading expert in knowledge translation (KT). As principal investigator of the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC), she has overseen the development of over 1000 resources for people with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and burn injury winning 20 international and national design, communication, and global impact awards. Dr. Cai serves as co-chair and editor of the Knowledge Translation and Implementation Coordinating Group of Campbell Collaboration and consults for the World Health Organization on KT and evidence-informed policymaking. With two decades of experience in research methodology and statistics, she has led multiple large-scale evaluations sup-porting individuals with disabilities. Dr. Cai holds a PhD from Vanderbilt University and is a certified What Works Clearinghouse reviewer.
