Lorena Reyes has been the spinal cord injury and disorders (SCI/D) dietitian at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital for over seven years. Before transitioning to Hines, she worked with pediatric individuals with SCI/D at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital. Lorena is actively collaborating as a Co-Investigator on several ongoing studies. Her passion for investigating unknown nutrition-related areas in SCI/D will further guide practitioners in providing the best care. Furthermore, she chairs the National VHA Nutrition & Food Services SCI/D Workgroup. Her current experience working with the SCI/D population and her continued dedication to expanding her research experience reflects her genuine commitment to the SCI/D population.
