Dr. Pinto is a physical therapist with advanced clinical training (orthopedic clinical specialist, Manual Physical Therapy Fellow) and research training in health economics (PhD and K12 award), health services research (CoHSTAR Fellow) and behavioral clinical trials (NIH). His research seeks to understand, quantify, and optimize value in healthcare with a primary interest in rehabilitation of adults with musculoskeletal disorders of aging. Dr. Pinto Directs the Behavior, Engagement, and Technology Assessment (BETA) lab where they focus on rehabilitation interventions that can be delivered at scale and assessing the value of technologies that make these interventions possible.
