Michael Kushnick, PhD is a Professor of Physical Therapy at Northern Illinois University (NIU). Earning his doctorate in Applied (Exercise) Physiology from Florida State University he spent 15 years at Ohio University mentoring students in the exercise physiology and exercise biochemistry laboratories. At NIU he continued to mentor undergraduate and graduate students across numerous disciplines in research. His research emphases include use of acute and chronic exercise to attenuate chronic diseases.
