Research Scientist
University at Buffalo
I'm a Research Scientist in Computer Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. My research focuses on smart health, embedded/mobile sensing, and intelligent analytics, with applications spanning stroke rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) detection, hospice transition prediction, and childhood speech and language impairment screening.
My work has been published in leading venues such as IEEE JBHI, IEEE TMI, and Smart Health, and I have delivered invited talks at conferences including IEEE ICHI and CHASE. I am also active in translational innovation, winning first place in the 2025 UB Panasci Technology Entrepreneurship Competition and the NIA PREPARE Challenge, and serving as PI or team leader on multiple NIH, NSF, and regional health innovation initiatives.
Through these efforts, I strive to bridge advanced computing with healthcare applications, fostering accessible, scalable, and impactful solutions for disease screening and patient care.
