James S. Krause, PhD is a Distinguished University Professor in the MUSC College of Health Professions (CHP) and is the Director of the Center for Rehabilitation Research in Neurologic Conditions. He has served as PI on multiple longitudinal studies, including the current study of opioid use and health and function (NIDILRR 90DPHF0009). He has authored 283 articles in peer-reviewed journals (144 as first author) and has contributed to 338 conference presentations. He has received several prestigious research awards, including seven awards for the outstanding published manuscript in the previous year: the ASIA Research Award (2007), three NARRTC Research Awards (2008, 2011, 2017), the Apple Award from ASIA (2009), and the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association Research Award (1993, 2010).
