Christine Hurtubise is a speech-language pathologist with over 32 years of experience in a variety of settings and the last 15 years of which occurred at Akron Children’s Hospital. Christine has expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Ayre’s Sensory Integration (ASI). Christine has a passion for Patient Provider Communication (PPC) and assisted in the incorporation of communication as a primary component to the development of the Early Mobilization program at ACH. Christine taught a graduate level AAC class and presented both nationally and internationally on AAC as well as ASI. Christine has also co-authored a peer reviewed article about speech-language pathology services in the pediatric intensive care unit and several workbooks and course content for advanced ASI training. Christine enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her family and dog in her spare time.
