Rebecca Eberle is a Clinical Professor (retired 2025) at Indiana University in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. She has her BA and MA in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She has a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is Board Certified by the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences (ANCDS). Her clinical interests are acquired neurogenic communication disorders resulting from traumatic brain injury, stroke, degenerative neurological processes and clients who require augmentative alternative communication systems for improved communication. She provided clinical education to graduate clinicians in implementation of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for clients across the lifespan with acquired neurogenic communication disorders, and those utilizing assistive technology and augmentative-alternative communication (AAC) for communication and acquired cognitive disorders. She instructed graduate level courses in the department, and co-instructed clinical practicum classes. She serves as a guest lecturer to large variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. She participated in graduate research through supervision and thesis committees. Rebecca also served as mentor to junior clinical faculty within department. She is a contributor and co-editor to treatment manuals and textbooks, based on the evidence presented in research for cognitive-linguistic and speech-language impairments, and has presented extensively in this area. In 2020, Rebecca was honored as a Fellow for the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM).
