As a health communication and health services researcher, I have over 20 years of experience in improving patient-provider communication and shared decision making. I am currently an Associate Professor at UMass Chan Medical School and a Research Health Scientist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I also consult on shared decision making and healthcare communication for various organizations.
My expertise lies in developing and evaluating interventions to enhance patient engagement and informed decision making in healthcare settings. I have published numerous papers on these topics and have received multiple awards for my research. I am passionate about advancing the field of health communication and improving health outcomes for diverse populations.
