Heather Smith is an occupational therapist with more than 20 years of experience in both rehabilitation and educational settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Science from UNC Chapel Hill, along with dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Studio Art. She currently works as the Assistive Technology Clinical Specialist at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. In this role, she supports individuals recovering from spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, strokes, and other neurological conditions—helping them find ways to stay as independent and engaged as possible in their daily lives.
Heather has a particular interest in assistive technology and how it can be used creatively to meet each person’s unique needs. She values collaboration, practical problem-solving, and taking the time to understand what matters most to the people she works with.
