Dr. Monica Verduzco-Gutierrez is a Professor and Distinguished Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. She is the Medical Director of Critical Illness Recovery and Neuro Rehabilitation at Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospitals and Chief of the PM&R service line at University Health.
She is an expert in traumatic brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, interventional spasticity management, and Long COVID, with over 100 publications in these areas. She is also a sub-investigator in the NIH RECOVER trial and co-PI on an AHRQ grant expanding Long COVID care.
